Getting Started

It is easy to become a shopper at our Teaching Tools Store. Just follow the simple steps below. We look forward to your first visit.

STEP 1
Determine if your school is approved for shoppers. Click here for a full list of eligible schools and their shopping designations

STEP 2
Full Service Schools

Fill out this Policies and Eligibility Form and bring it to the Teaching Tools Store on your first visit.  You will check-in at the front desk when you arrive. You must show a photo ID each time you shop – (once a month) Hillsborough County employee photo identification or driver’s license is accepted.

One-Representative Schools
At One-Representative schools the Principal assigns one shopper and one alternate shopper to serve as the designated shopper for the school. This shopper can shop for $1000 or more in free school supplies once per month (July – May). Click here to see a list of One-Representative schools.

Volunteer-to-Shop Schools
All full-time Hillsborough County Public School teachers at schools that we currently do not serve full-service (including those at One-Representative schools) can volunteer 3 hours a month at the Teaching Tools Store to earn free shopping trips worth more than $200. Contact Kirsten Donohue at Kdonohue@educationfoundation.com or (813) 463-4280 at the Teaching Tools Store to schedule a volunteer opportunity at the Store.
