Take Stock in Children (TSIC) breaks the cycle of poverty by identifying high-achieving, low-income public-school students with college potential and offering holistic support. Students can expect to explore endless opportunities with the Hillsborough Education Foundation’s Take Stock in Children program, designed to support your journey towards a brighter future.

Unlock your potential with our mentoring & scholarship program. Whatever your dreams, we’re here to help you succeed.

What it Means to be a Take Stock in Children Scholar

Take Stock in Children scholars sign a contract promising to remain crime and drug-free, maintain a 2.5 GPA and above, exhibit good behavior, and meet with their assigned mentor regularly through high school graduation. Upon graduation, students receive a 2-year college tuition scholarship. Take Stock in Children staff meet with students in the program each semester to ensure students have the resources they need to complete school. Student grades are tracked quarterly, and immediate intervention is provided should students show signs of academic decline.

Once you have met the program requirements and graduate from high school, you will receive a minimum of a 2-year Florida Prepaid Scholarship.

Student Eligibility
