The Hillsborough Education Foundation Is An Invaluable Resource to Students

In a school district with more than 200 schools and 190,000 students, the needs of students are diverse. The Hillsborough Education Foundation assists in the funding of projects and programs that are not paid for with tax dollars by helping to bring community resources to the schools, students and teachers.

Resources are considered the essence for the educational community. Few programs that support public education are as meaningful as those of the Hillsborough Education Foundation. The Foundation supports the school district and positively influences tens of thousands of students every year through a variety of programs including early intervention in reading, mentoring, post-secondary scholarships, and Nature’s Classroom.

“If no one organized these scholarship opportunities, it would be difficult for students to realize what scholarship donors exist and what scholarships are available. Thank you…for not only giving us monetary means to achieve but also the confidence to continue advancing.”

“When I found out that my dad died, the first person I called was my mentor Keith, I knew he would help me get through it because he has become such a good friend.”

“I became a park ranger because of my time at Nature’s Classroom in 6th grade. It was one of the most influential experiences of my life…being there made me realize how much I enjoy the outdoors and now I want to teach others about the importance of a healthy environment.”
