Grants to Support Classrooms, Schools, and Technology Make a Difference

Every year the Hillsborough Education Foundation makes funds available to Hillsborough County educators to create new and innovative educational programs that could not normally be accommodated by the typical school budget.  The Foundation partners with individuals, corporations, agencies, and organizations to provide funding and resources to channel out to teachers and schools via:

Classroom Grants: Teachers apply for extra dollars for classroom projects. These grants are unique because they put funds directly into the hands of the classroom teacher. Classroom grant awards range from $250 to $2,500.

School Excellence Initiative Grants: Matching grants to improve the overall experience at our schools. School administrators may apply for up to $2,500 in matching funds designed to address needs which impact large segments of the school community (a grade-level, curriculum area, school-wide, etc.). 

Technology Match Grants: School administrators can apply for up to $25,000 in matching funds to improve technology in their schools.

• The  Foundation has awarded over $3.5 million of grant money through its grants  program. With so many requests each year, The Foundation is continually striving to provide funds for this tremendously successful program. 
• The School Enrichment grants program provides more than $300,000 each year.
