Hillsborough Regional Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Fair
The Hillsborough Regional Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Fair (HRSTEM) is the largest academic competition in Hillsborough County. School level competitions involve thousands of students in grades K-12 in more than 240 public and private schools. Approximately 1,500 student projects are selected to compete at the regional level. Students experience firsthand the creativity and perseverance required for high levels of achievement. Working with these projects also develops the use of technology and presentation skills needed in today's workplace. Winners in selected categories go on to compete at the state and international levels.
The Fair will be held February 7-8, 2012 at the Tampa Convention Center. The Hillsborough Education Foundation assists in obtaining sponsorships for this worthwhile program.
